The music of the 70s comes alive during Freedom Festival 2008 with an outstanding classic rock double-treat on Saturday, June 21, 2008 featuring legendary music icons Three Dog Night and America.
Both in their fourth decade of music-making, Three Dog Night and America continue to dazzle audiences from all generations with their beloved hits from the 70s as well as newer musical treats. Founding Three Dog Night members Cory Wells and Danny Hutton deliver songs like “Mama Told Me (Not To Come),” “Joy to the World,” “Shambala” and many others with the same unmistakable style that landed them 21 consecutive Top 40 hits. America’s Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell have explored a wide variety of musical terrain while delivering such well-known hits as “A Horse With No Name,” “Ventura Highway,” and “Lonely People,” and their journey continues.
The Freedom Festival 2008 Classic Rock Concert Night will again be held on the campus of Kirkwood Community College. Complete ticket outlet and price information will be available later.
Dates for this year’s Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival, which will celebrate its 25th year, are June 19-July 4, 2008.
