Freedom Festival Reopens 2009 Artwork Competition - Original Entries Lost to Flood

Cedar Rapids, Iowa – July 16, 2008 – Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival announced today it is reopening its 2009 Artwork Competition. The new deadline for entries is 5 pm on September 12, 2008. All entries must be sent or delivered to the temporary Freedom Festival office at 1857 2nd Av. SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403.

“Unfortunately the recent flooding destroyed the Freedom Festival office and contents and all entries received in the earlier competition were lost to the flood waters,” explained Freedom Festival operations director, Russ Oviatt. “The competition is open to all artists interested in entering or re-entering. Complete entry guidelines and requirements are available as a downloadable file below.
