Fire & Ice Chili Challenge

It'll be cold outside, so take time to warm up your insides during the 3rd Annual Fire & Ice Chili Challenge, December 7. This fun event, sponsored by Quality Chef Foods, a Division of Heinz, and hosted by Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival, will he held from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm in the spacious accommodations of site host Legends Sports & Entertainment Center.
Chili Cooks -- jot down your secret recipe, get you cookin' gear together, grab some friends and join the challenge -- no entry fee required, just 5 gallons of your chili. See below for a downloadable entry form.
Chili Lovers -- here's a great chance to sample some of Cedar Rapids' finest chili recipes. Admission includes chili (sample as many as you can, then cast your vote), beverage and cookies. Hot dogs will also be available for the kids and for those wishing to make chili dogs.
