Patriotic Pops Concert

Freedom Festival's Patriotic Pops concert is celebrating its 13th year. Well known local artist Janelle Lauer kicks off the evening at 6 pm.
Janelle brands energy into every song she sings -- owning the lyrics, the harmony, the attitude, the experience. Standards metamorphose when they hit her vocal cors. Every tune exposes some momentous human fragility. Janelle will also perform with the Cedar Rapids Symphony Orchestra for several arrangements.
At 8 pm revel in patriotic pops performed by the nationally-acclaimed 80-piece Cedar Rapids Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of music director and conductor Maestro Timothy Hankewich, who is making his 2nd appearance on Freedom Festival's Patriotic Pops stage.
And here's an added treat!
Theatre Cedar Rapids' High School Musical team will be performing bits from their upcoming production.
