Smulekoff's started the tradition of an Arts & Crafts bazaar on July 4th ... Freedom Festival is pleased to continue that tradition -- only this year we'll do so on Labor Day due to circumstances created by the Flood of 2008. And, the bazaar has been expanded to include a Farmers' Market.
You won't want to miss this opportunity to buy something special from local crafters and farmers' market marketers at the Patriot's Bazaar and Farmers' Market. You'll be greeted by a wonderful selection of produce, specialty items and handmade items from local vendors.
Make it a morning and enjoy breakfast at the ever popular Grand 'Ol Pancake Breakfast sponsored by Quaker Oats, then shop the bazaar and farmers' market. Let the kids run off some of that extra energy at Action Zone sponsored by GE Capital Solutions. Don't pass up a ride on Little Toot Express, a replica of an 1880 Black Iron Horse Train Engine sponsored by the Cedar Rapids Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. Then let the kids explore the wonders of a petting zoo, including a buffalo calf, lama, ponies, and much more.
But don't stop there. At 2 pm cheer on the Kernels as they play their final regular season home game.
