*Midsummer Garden Arts Fair

Five Seasons Chamber Music and NW Neighbors Neighborhood Association are excited to sponsor this event and we invite you to join us as we take a giant step back in time and enjoy a little bit of Elizabethan England. Additional partners include Friends of the Shakespeare Garden, and the Wednesday Shakespeare Club. The garden will be in full bloom thanks to the preparation and help of Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation Department and members of the Cedar Rapids Garden Club along with Friends of the Shakespeare Garden who are working to revitalize the garden.
Events include a welcome from Al Pierson, representing NW Neighbors Neighborhood Association. Music Ensembles will be featured, compliments of Five Seasons Chamber Music. Recitations and a visit from star-crossed lovers Romeo and Juliet will be brought to life by members of the Wednesday Shakespeare Club. Country dance presentations and an opportunity to participate will be shared by students of Carol Rezabeck.
Friends of the Shakespeare Garden will be sharing the plans for future revitalization of the garden and tours of the current plantings in the garden. Enjoy light refreshments while the strolling musicians from the Five Seasons Chamber Music Festival move through the audience. Bring a blanket or chair to relax on the lawn while being transported to another time. Feel free to arrive in costume.
