Music at the Museum

We are excited to join forces again with the Czech and Slovak Museum and Library to bring back this festival favorite. Join us in the Czech Village in front of the iconic museum in their new amphitheater area the night of July 1st at 6pm. Bring chairs, blankets, and a picnic if you’d like! Refreshments will be offered from the Czech Museum. Admission is a Freedom Festival button ($10 per person-kids 5 and under FREE). Buy your button early to take advantage of 3 weeks of Freedom Festival programming!
There will be a double headliner show starting with the infamous Amy Friedl Stoner and ending with the ever popular band Birdchild!
Amy Friedl Stoner
Amy Friedl Stoner is an accomplished and versatile cabaret/jazz singer born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Amy has worked with numerous Tony and Grammy award-winning artists, such as Faith Prince, Christine Ebersole, Jason Robert Brown, and Billy Stritch, music director for Liza Minnelli and Tony Bennett.
“Playing top 40 hits from the last 40 years” Birdchild will get you on your feet with nostalgic anthems from the 80’s and 90’s, along with your favorite music of today. Specializing in putting a Synth/Pop spin on their covers – they bring a party to any stage and will keep the crowd singing. You’ll realize quickly why they are among Iowa’s top cover bands!
