The Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival is excited to announce that Balloon Glow is BACK! You asked, and we answered! Please SAVE YOUR BUTTON and save the date for Tuesday, August 7, 6-9:30 p.m. at the Sinclair Levy – BoTown Entertainment Park. Gates will open at 5 p.m. Watch the sun go down and enjoy the new location, listening to the tunes and enjoying time with friends and family. Chairs and blankets are encouraged. The balloons will enter just before dusk on trailers, the balloonists will then raise them up to glow. Enjoy the "glow" and get up close and personal with these amazing balloons and the balloonists as well!
Gates open at 5:00pm
Things to know:
A Freedom Festival button is required for this event.
Coolers with beer and wine are allowed
No pets and no fireworks (including sparklers)
Please treat the property with respect at all times.
Smoking is NOT allowed.
Parking: Kingston Stadium/Kernels parking lots will be open for the public to park in that evening, starting at 5pm. Shuttles will pickup/drop off from the south ticket gates of Kingston Stadium.
Shuttles: There will be shuttle pickup spots in front of White Star Alehouse, Smulekoff's, and Lot 44. Park anywhere downtown or in Lot 44, and get to one of those spots for shuttle pickup.
Shuttles will run from 5-10pm on Tuesday, August 7th.
Food is available for purchase by several local food vendors. Cedar Ridge Winery will be on site, with their signature local Iowa wine.
The band will be Arch Allies!
