Mark your calendar now for a historic week of incredible juggling, workshops, shows, competitions and memories in Cedar Rapids! There will be world class juggling taking place at the stunning Paramount Theatre and jugglers from around the world will be teaching anyone to juggle at the Cedar Rapids Convention Center.
All are welcome to attend the events that take place at the Convention Center throughout the week. There is a one time membership fee for the event (family rates are available) and a day pass charge. July 11th: Come to the Convention Center to learn to juggle from 3pm to 4pm, no experience or equipment needed, Free with a suggested donation of $10 per person. Proof of negative covid test taken within 72 hours or proof of completed covid vaccination is required for all IJA events.
July 12th: Join us at the Downtown Cedar Rapids Library for the FREE Planting the Juggling Seed show at 10 am there will be juggling lessons after the event as well. At 7:30 pm head to the Paramount Theatre for the IJA Welcome show! Tickets are 50% off for anyone with an Iowa ID! July 13th: At 7:30 pm head to the Paramount Theatre for the IJA Flow show! This event showcases many of the best flow artists around, demonstrating their mastery of this genre of juggling, which is frequently found at music festivals. Flow juggling commonly includes poi, hooping, staff manipulation, and more! Tickets are 50% off for anyone with an Iowa ID! Immediately after the show there will be fire and glow juggling in front of the Cedar Rapids Public Library, come on over and watch us light up the night sky (weather permitting). July 14th: At 7:30 pm head to the Paramount Theatre for the IJA Championships Competition! The Juggling Championships, featuring Individuals and Juniors. See the greatest jugglers in the world perform their acts in a competitive stage setting. Tickets are 50% off for anyone with an Iowa ID! July 16h: At 7:30 pm head to the Paramount Theatre for the IJA Cascade of Stars show, this is the most in-demand show of the IJA Festival. highlight of the IJA festival. This Saturday evening showcase features established industry professionals who work around the world on cruise ships, under circus tents, and top notch juggling and circus talent from around the world. This will be the final theater show of the festival and is an event not to be missed! Get ready for a fabulous night of family entertainment. Tickets are 50% off for anyone with an Iowa ID!
