Looking for a fun, hands-on summer internship where no two days are the same? The Freedom Festival is looking for TWO enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as paid Summer Event Interns for 2027!
This is an exciting opportunity to gain real-world experience in event planning, marketing, nonprofit operations, and community engagement while helping bring some of Eastern Iowa's favorite summer celebrations to life!
From behind-the-scenes planning to being part of the action on event days, you'll play an important role in making the 2027 Freedom Festival a success.
Position Details
Position: Summer Marketing & Events Intern (2 Positions Available)
Location: 51 1st Ave Bridge, Cedar Rapids, IA 52401
Dates: Mid-May – End of July 2027
Hours: Approximately 30–40 hours per week, with flexible scheduling based on Festival events. Some evenings, weekends, and additional hours during Festival week will be required, including July fourth.
Pay: $17 per hour
