Charles was born on February 6, 1922, at Hartwick. He married Velma Kleineck August 14, 1946, at Springville. Mr. Armstrong was a pilot in the Army Air Corps during World War II. A longtime resident of Marion and formerly of Walker, he was employed as a machine maintenance supervisor for Rockwell International, retiring in 1982. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Marion.
