MARINE CORPS
2008 - 2013

Ian graduated from Washington Senior High School, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 2008. He signed the early entry form for the United States Marines before graduation & entered the Marine Corp. November 2008. While in the Marine Corp he reenlisted so he could serve our country in Afghanistan. After his honorary discharge he worked in construction and at Saia Trucking, waiting for his chance to be in law enforcement. Ian was accepted by the Linn County Sheriff's Department for training. He started his dream there in June 2014. He is still with the Linn County Sheriff's Department, currently serving as Sergeant and Captain of the Bomb Squad. Ian loves to build things and when the opportunity came up, he took a small business from his friend, Charlies Plastic Models, which he owns and operates as well. Ian is a family man, married since 2014, and proud father of 5 kids.
