- Answering phone and greeting community members 
- Assisting with graphic design work 
- Assisting with inventory of Festival buttons, banners, and other merchandise 
- Logistics, planning, and preparation for the summer festival 
- Assist with planning all Freedom Festival produced events 
- Assist with social media efforts 
- Attend planning meetings as necessary 
- Attend ALL Freedom Festival produced events 
Become a part of the planning and producing of the Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival events this summer! Our three month, paid internship is great for college students to gain experience in the event industry while playing a huge role in the success of the Festival.
Freedom Festival Internship
Responsibilities include:
- Positive attitude and high energy; Reliable, honest and trustworthy; Work as a team player. 
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite applications. 
- Proficient in basic math. 
- Must have source of transportation 
- Detail-oriented and thorough 
- Comply with organizational policies: 
- Attendance: Notify supervisor, in advance, of planned or anticipated absences from work. 
- Dress Code: Be appropriately dressed for daily work schedule 
- Smoking and Alcohol: Smoking and the consumption of alcohol are not permitted on the premises, in company vehicles, nor during Festival events. 
- Always representing the festival with pride and excitement. 
Expectations:
Supervision & Chain of Command:
- Supervision Received: Perform work under the direction of the Executive Director and Events & Marketing Assistant. 
- Comply with the established chain of command for work-related issues. - Executive Director

- Board of Directors 
 
- Work the hours of 9am – 4pm from mid-May through mid-August 
- Overtime hours, nights, and weekends required during Festival (depending on event times) 
- Paid internship 
Work Schedule
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Physical requirements include sitting or standing for long periods of time. Occasionally lifts, carries, and pushes objects up to 50 lbs. 
- Environmental requirements include working indoors and outdoors. Travel in Cedar Rapids metro area will apply.
